Thanksgiving

We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year. We weren't sure how it was going to turn out, but it ended being so nice. We were supposed to have a Huish family Thanksgiving this year, but my dad decided to have back surgery the day before Thanksgiving so having a Huish family dinner didn't work out so well. We had our family Thanksgiving dinner on the Saturday before Thanksgiving so that my dad would be able to have an actual Thanksgiving dinner. It was so YUMMY!! On Thanksgiving day we ended up going over to my Uncle Gary and Aunt Renee's house for Thanksgiving dinner and it was DELICIOUS. After visiting for a little while, we left Nixon at Uncle Gary's house so the girls could babysit him and we went over to the hospital to visit my dad. He was doing so good. When we got there he was standing up and he was ready to go do his laps around the nurses station. They were all very happy with how well he was doing considering it was the day after his surgery. They released him from the hospital the next day which is amazing...only 2 days after major back surgery!!! He was so happy to be home!!! Anyway, we visited him at the hospital and then went home. It was such a nice day. We loved the food and had such a nice time visiting with family. And I didn't even take one picture!!! After we got home we put Nixon to bed and I followed for a short nap before getting up at 3 a.m. to go Black Friday shopping!!! It was SO much fun and SO SO SO worth getting up that early. It's definitely going to be something I continue to do every year! Saturday we went to the BYU vs. UTAH game and I'm saving that for my next post because I actually took pictures there. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend!!!
