Our 4th of July

We had a really fun 4th of July this year.
It was a busy one, but lots of fun.

Daddy with his kiddos in their red, white, and blue.

Mama with Taters.
Nixon was not willing to get in the picture. (you can kinda see him in the back)

And Daddy with Taters.

The Saturday before the 4th, Josh, Meg and the kids came over for a BBQ.
We set up this slip and slide and the kids were crazy!!!
They LOVED it.
Nixon had NO FEAR at all.
It took him a few times to totally understand how to do it.
Once that happened, there was no stopping him.
Airborne and all!!!

They had SO much fun with this.
They were seriously playing on the slip and slide for hours.

Here's Madi.

And the Colbsters.

Daddy even got in on the fun.

And Nixon got his first fat lip.
I'm surprised that this was the only injury of the day!

Uncle Josh and Grandma watching the kids.

And here are all the kids at the end of the night.
The food was delicious.
We did fireworks and sparklers.
My pictures of those didn't turn out well at all.
Oh well.
We had SO much fun with them all day.

Sunday we went to a BBQ with Juliane and the girls.
Monday we went to a BBQ at my mom and dad's.
It was such a great weekend.
We loved hanging out with so much family.
It's great to be home for the whole summer.
It's our 1st in 3 years and we are LOVING it and taking FULL advantage of it!

7 Month Update

Taters was 7 months on the 1st of the month.
She's getting to be so much fun and so entertaining.
She's also getting so big.
She's still my little baby though.

We have spent a lot of time at Daddy's softball games.
We love hanging out at the fields.
Taytum loves to be outside.
She's always so content when she's outside no matter what.

She's a great sleeper.
She sleeps 9-10 hours a night.
She takes 2-3 naps a day and doesn't cry when we put her down to sleep.
She's great at falling asleep on her own, not need to be rocked or anything.

She's such a chunk!
Her and Nixon had almost the exact same stats at their 6 month check ups.
She just carries most of it in her thighs.
She loves to eat.
She's eating 6 oz. every 3-4 hours with solids in between.

She's such a happy little girl.
Extremely mellow.
She doesn't show much emotion.

She loves playing with her toys.
She stands really good now...finally!
She gets around by rolling all over the place.
She's starting to get her knees up underneath her but no crawling yet. (thankfully)
She also loves the pool.

Her bottom middle tooth has come in.
We had no idea she was even teething.
She's such a happy little thing.
She loves playing with her tongue.

She loves looking at herself in the mirror.
Nixon is starting to play with her a little more and she LOVES it.
When she's crying in her crib, we have found Nixon in the crib with her a few times trying to calm her down.
That makes me a proud mama!
We love our little Tater Tot.
Life is really busy these days and I love it.
I wouldn't have it any other way!

Gone Fishin'

We've gone fishin' a lot this summer.
Nixon LOVES it.
He has his own fishing pole and all!

Nixon caught his first fish!
He was SO SO SO excited!

Look at how excited he is!
He wouldn't even look at the camera.

His cute cheeser face!

Daddy.

Nixon saw Nic bending backwards when he was catching a fish.
Every time Nixon would reel in his fishing line, he would bend backwards like this.
