Cali baby!

This past weekend Nic and I went to California with our friends Jeff and CharLee. We went to check out the area that we are going to be living this summer.

We went and picked up Jeff and CharLee before we left and Nic and Jeff were dressed exactly the same. They both had gray t-shirts on, the exact same sweats, and the exact same flip-flops. It was hilarious. They insist that they didn't plan it. Haha!


It was such a fun little getaway! We went to California Adventure Park, walked the boardwalk in Venice Beach and saw all the crazies there, went to Malibu, drove in traffic in L.A., and just relaxed. It was a perfect weekend getaway. The drive takes about 10 hours and that was probably the worst part of the whole thing. The traffic in L.A. definately didn't help, but from what I hear, it's something I'm going to have to get used too. After seeing the area this weekend, we are so excited that we are going to be living there for the summer. It's going to be an exciting adventure for us!

When we were in Venice, this crazy, homeless guy puts on shows for money. He picked Nic out of the audience. Nic was disgusted, and I was worried cause who knows what that guy was going to do, but was a good sport about it.

Moving

Nic and I listed our condo in November and we finally sold this month. It's been a long, stressful process, but we are definately glad that we did it. (A big thanks to my mom for cleaning our condo for hours while we moved out! Love ya!) We are living in my mom and dad's basement for the next month til we leave for California in April. I'm definately sad about leaving our first home together. I found that I really love to paint and love decorating. We are very excited to get into a house when we get back at the end of the summer. Here are a few pictures before we moved out.

Spring Fever....

So this past week has been absolutely beautiful here in Utah. It has been in the mid to low 50's all week (growing up in Hawaii, I never thought I would say that temp would be beautiful) and I have been loving it. There has been blue skies and everything. Until yesterday! Then it was back to the same cold, windy, winter weather we've had for a long time now. And this winter has been absolutely horrible and so long and so cold. I am SO SO ready for warm weather. So I decided to change the background of my blog to make it more springy. I can't wait for t-shirt, shorts and flip-flop (slippers) weather. Hopefully spring is just around the corner!
