10 Months

Nixon has been 10 months for almost 2 weeks now and I can't believe it. I know I say that same thing pretty much every month, but I seriously can't believe that he's going to be 1 in like a month and a half. Time sure flies!!! He has the funnest personality and is so much fun to be with.

Here he is watching t.v. for like a second. He seriously has no interest in the t.v. at all, which I am glad that he doesn't care about it. There are times though where I wish he would cuddle with me and watch for a few minutes, but he is so busy and just doesn't have time to sit and watch t.v.

Things Nixon is doing at 10 months:

-WALKING!!!!

-walking more than crawling

-talking a ton

-clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth

-makes the sounds like an indian putting his hand over his mouth (does that make sense??)

-claps his hands when you say "patty cake patty cake"

-waves bye

-is starting to be more gentle with Emmi

-LOVES LOVES LOVES to eat

-mama's boy

-LOVES his grandpa's

-loves to be chased

-fascinated with lights, ceiling fans, any type of cord, etc.

-climbs onto anything he can

-loves opening and closing drawers

-shuts himself into a room and bangs on the door and laughs

-wears 12-18 months clothing

-hates anything that restrains him like his carseat and high chair

-doesn't like to be held if we are around other people or in a new place, he would rather be discovering (church is pointless because of that)

He is such a big boy. Nic and I are serioiusly SO lucky to be his mom and dad and we are loving every moment of it!

Halloween

We had a really fun Halloween this year. It was Nixon's first Halloween and I loved it! It's so much more eventful when you have a baby. I was SO excited to dress Nixon in his cute little costume. He was such a great sport the whole night and didn't even mind being in his costume all night. We stopped by all the grandparents houses and Josh and Meg's.

Here is Nixon in his little Dalmatian doggy costume. This picture of his is absolutely adorable. I LOVE those big blue eyes!

I had to get a picture of the back of him. He had this cute little tail on the back of his costume.

This is the only picture I got with him all night so I had to post it.

Here are all the grand kids. We have Spider man (Colby) Spot (Nixon) Mario (Riley) and Sharpay (Madi). Nixon loves playing with his cousins.

The night before Halloween we went to a Halloween party at Adam and Lauren's house. We had SO SO SO much fun. We love all of our friends and always have a ton of fun when we are with them. We had super good food and played some super fun, hilarious games.

Nic and I were Juno and Bleaker. We totally should have done this last year since I was pregnant but I didn't even think about it then. So we made it work this year.

We played some fun and hilarious games. This picture is of a game where you tie an apple to a string and then tie the string to a stick and on your knees with your hands behind your back, you have to try and take a bite out of the apple. It's seriously impossible but SO SO SO funny. We also played Catchphrase and I will never play that with my husband again because he is just way too competitive. And the last game we played was a brown paper bag game. You had to stand on one foot and bend over and grab the bag with your mouth without falling over. Once everyone did it, you have to cut one inch off the bag and do it again. The shorter the bag got, the harder it was to do. (thanks Andrea for the pics)

And surprisingly, Adam won. He got the bag down to pretty much nothing. It was crazy!!

Anyway, we had tons of fun that night. Thanks to all of our friends for making it such a fun night!!!
