Sledding

We went sledding the day after Christmas with Nic's whole family. It was Nixon's first time on the snowmobile and sledding. He LOVED it. He was so good the entire time that we were there and it was absolutely FREEZING!!!!

Nixon's all bundled up in his snow clothes ready to have some fun!!
Mommy and Nixon getting ready to ride the snowmobile up to the top of the hill so we could tube down. The first time we went down he laughed the whole ride down. The second time, we had a lot of snow blow up into our face and he didn't like that so much.

On the tube with daddy.
At the end of the hill after his ride with daddy. This little boy seriously loves anything that stimulates him. As long as he is constantly stimulated, he's happy.
The kiddos warming up with hot chocolate.
Nixon taking a break in the back of the truck.
We seriously had so much fun. I'm sure this is the first of many more trips up the mountain this winter!

Christmas Day

Christmas is seriously so much funner with kids!! Nixon definitely got SUPER spoiled this Christmas but he is SO worth it. It was so much fun to see him get excited with each new toy. He would open one and play with it and then open another and play with that one. He had to play with all of them. He would go from one to another and then back to one's he already had played with. If was a lot of fun watching him.

Here he is with his very own vacuum. He absolutely LOVES our vacuum so I saw this and had to get it for him. He carried it around with him for a while. It was cute!
Playing with his new little trucks we got him. He's starting to really love trucks!

Here he is in his super cute jammies with his new Vans on. HAHA. He loves shoes and carried them around with him for a while before we put them on. And he LOVED playing with all the boxes.
Daddy and Nixon on Christmas morning.
This is what Nic did a lot of the morning. He was in charge of putting all of Nixon's toys together. And I wasn't even thinking, but I wrapped every single gift not even realizing that Santa usually puts things together the night before and leaves them out unwrapped. But it's ok...at least Nixon didn't understand this year so I didn't bother unwrapping everything and doing it the right way. We'll leave that for next year.
Here is Nixon on his new horsey. He absolutely LOVES this!!! It bounces and spins and plays music and it also has interactive teaching games for the t.v. He knows how to get on and off of the horse all by himself.
Nic's showing off a couple of shirts that we got him.
I'm showing off the boots and a couple of shirts that Nic got me. Thanks babe!

After we did our own thing in the morning, we headed over to my mom and dad's house for the rest of the day and this is the ONLY picture I got while we were there. I have no idea why I didn't take more pictures but oh well. Nixon got this super cute beanie and he kept trying to take it off so that's why Nic is holding his hands down so we could get a picture of it. We opened presents and then ate lunch. My dad made his famous Enchiladas and they were absolutely DELICIOUS!!! We ate so much!!! We then headed over to see Grandma Evans and then went back to my mom and dad's and all took naps. Nic and I slept for 2 hours and Nixon took a much needed 3 hour nap! It was a very fun filled day and a great Christmas.
We had a wonderful Christmas this year spent with our family. We ate a TON of good food, played games, hung out with family, watched Nixon enjoy all his new toys and loved watching him play with his cousins. He LOVES them and is VERY entertained when he's with them because there is never a dull moment when they are around. It was so much fun watching Nixon on his very first Christmas. I'm so excited for all the rest to come. Thanks to all of our family for making it so special!!

Christmas Eve

We had a SUPER fun Christmas Eve this year. Everyone came over and we had a fun filled night. We ate SO SO SO much good food, played some games, opened presents and just lounged around.
After dinner, the kids decorated cookies for Santa. Here are Colby and Madi with their cookies. I love the extra frosting that Colby has on his chin...SO cute!

Meg was totally spoiling Nixon and feeding him frosting and of course he was LOVING it!!!!

This is totally random but we were watching t.v. and all of a sudden Nixon bit Nic's toe. It was hilarious and we all started laughing and because we were laughing Nixon thought it was so funny. Nic had a red toe for the rest of the night because Nixon's mouth was stained red from the frosting.

Papa read a couple of Christmas stories to the kids and I love how everyone is sitting around listening intently.
Riley's turn to open presents. We are all excited to see what he got...even Emmi!

This is pretty much what Nixon did all night. He LOVES Colby and is his little sidekick. He watched everything that Colby did ALL NIGHT! And Colby was such a good helper. He's showing Nixon how to open his presents.
Nixon LOVES boxes!
We seriously had a really fun night. It's always fun when you have family, food and games. Thanks you guys!!

Evans Family Christmas Party

We had our Evans family Christmas party the day after the Warren Christmas party. (yes it was a very eventful week) Nic was in Vegas for the Vegas bowl game so it was just Nixon and I with the rest of the family. It was SO much fun! The party was at Uncle Gary and Aunt Renee's house up in Sandy. We had super yummy food, fun games, and lots of family time.
I love this picture of Nixon. He has a cute little smirk on his face because he's excited for his present!
The Evans family has a tradition of doing a pinata at every Christmas party. We have been doing this ever since I was a little kid and as far as I can remember back. It's always so much fun to watch the kids try to open the pinata. I was so excited for Nixon to be able to participate this year. He absolutely LOVED it. He was laughing so hard every time we hit the pinata!! It was so much fun watching him.

Here he is watching the other kids take their turn at hitting the pinata. As you can see, he was thoroughly entertained.
Playing with Aunty Lani's necklace. (her boyfriend Collin is in the background)

OK so 5 years ago, Grandma made each grandchild their own quilt. We all got together and took a picture exactly like this one with our quilts wrapped around us. Well, Grandma made each of us a quilt again so we thought it would be fun to try and replicate that picture again. We all even stood in the same spot as the last picture. I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting grandma's quilts and she is SO good at what she does. Thanks Grandma. Love you lots!

Warren Family Christmas Party

We always have the Warren family Christmas party the Sunday before Christmas. It is always filled with A LOT of delicious food, lots of fun, and great presents from Grandma and Grandpa Warren. We had the party at Uncle Craig and Aunt Susan's this year. We started the night out with TONS of good food. We always have the best appetizers and by the time we're ready to eat, we are almost full.

This year, Uncle Craig made a DVD of pictures of the siblings and it was so fun to watch it and see all the fun pictures of them growing up. He also made an amazing DVD of Christ and the true meaning of Christmas. It was a great reminder of what Christmas is really about.

After the movies, it's on to the presents. Grandma Warren is seriously so good at getting the best gifts. We had SO much fun hanging out with the whole family. It seems like every year there are more and more people as everyone gets married and has babies. It is A LOT of fun!!

Nixon LOVED this huge LoveSac. We would thrown him onto it on his back and he would laugh so hard and get excited to do it again.
Grandma Warren gave Nixon this teddy bear that reads out loud the ENTIRE Night Before Christmas story.

Madi and Ava with Nixon. They were so excited to take a picture with Nixon, but he wasn't as excited. Like I have said in previous posts, he doesn't get very excited or as excited as I would like him too when he sees the camera.
Nic put Nixon in this huge box and he LOVED it.
Ok so Grandma got these three boys matching hoodies and they were crazy with them. They were trying to act like they were super cool. Haha. It was hilarious!!
I think this was supposed to be like the inmate pose or something. I don't know!

Santa

We took Nixon to go see Santa about a week before Christmas. He obviously didn't understand and didn't know what was going on, but I had to get a picture with him and Santa for his first Christmas. Here are Nixon and I waiting in line to see Santa.

I was interested to see how he reacted to Santa. I LOVE how he is looking at Santa like "who are you?" Haha. So cute!!! And he did great. No crying or anything.
This is the best picture I got of him sitting on Santa. He doesn't smile at the camera very often.

And this is a classic picture of Nixon right now. He is ALWAYS pointing at something. It's the funniest thing. Even if he isn't pointing at one specific thing, he just randomly points.

Sweater Christmas Party

We had a SUPER fun sweater Christmas party with our really good friends. We had some super yummy food and played some crazy games. Here is a funny group picture of all of us minus Wesley and Bronson.

Nic & I in our outfits!

Jeff & Charlee!! They definitely got the most decked out and they were HILARIOUS!!!

Adam & Lauren. Adam had crazy slicked back hair and a creepy mustache. SO funny!
Wesley & Bronson...LOVED their sweaters.

Andrea & Austin.

We also did a white elephant gift exchange. Nic got a sweet statue of David. He HAD to get a picture with it.
Nic and I by far gave the best white elephant gift. Austin chose it and it was a pair of HUGE leopard print granny panties and an extra small pair of superman underwear that said Man of Steel on them. It was HILARIOUS!!!

Lauren made these DELICIOUS sugar cookies. She seriously spent like half a day making and frosting them and turned out SUPER SUPER cute and they tasted SO SO SO good!!

Another pic of Nic and I.

We seriously have the best friends ever!!! We always have a ton of fun when we are with them. Thanks guys for the fun party!! And thanks Andrea and Lauren for letting me steal the pics. off of your blogs cause I forgot my camera. Love ya!
