Baseball in Vegas

We went to Vegas last weekend.
Nic played in a baseball tournament.
We were very excited to get out of town and have a little vacation with the family and with our friends.
Little did we know, going on a trip with a 2 year old and 2 month old isn't really a vacation.
In fact, it's A LOT of work.
Being cramped in a little hotel room with a king size bed, a pack & play, and a roll away bed wasn't really our style.
We made it work though.
(I wish I got a picture of what our room looked like with all of our crap in it)
We got a little bit of shopping in at H&M and we all got sun burnt in February!!!
We had lots of fun!

I love this picture.
Nixon was seriously in heaven being able to be at a baseball field ALL day.
He loved watching Daddy play baseball.
He loved being able to play on an actual baseball field.

Here he is blowing bubbles...or attempting too.

He LOVED watching his Daddy play.
He was only allowed on the field before and after the games and he threw fits when it was time to close the gate when the game was supposed to start.

My sweet little girl.
We are in LOVE with her cheeks!

My handsome little man.

Nic had 2 games a day.
We'd leave our hotel room at 8 a.m. and wouldn't leave the baseball field til about 5 p.m.
Nixon played the entire time we were at the field, so by the time we left he was EXHAUSTED.
He'd literally be passed out in his car seat by the time we left the field parking lot.

Mommy with her favorite little boy ever!

Mommy with her favorite little girl ever!

I love seeing Nic in is baseball outfit.
I think he's pretty hot!!!

Our future ball player!!!
Nixon LOVED LOVED LOVED playing with the real baseball bats, wearing the baseball helmets and running the bases.
I don't think he could have been happier.
And he was making his Daddy MIGHTY proud!

Nixon had to put the black stuff on his face just like Daddy.

Here's Nixon with his little buddy Dirk.

Nic's team won the tournament!
YAY!!
Here is our little family.

Happy Love Day

At work these days, I have a lot of time on my hands.
I usually look at craft blogs most of the time.
That has made me become quite the little crafter lately.
I found some really cute Valentines Day crafts that I tried out.
I love the way that they turned out.
I love this heart wreath made out of felt.

I also Mod Podge'd these wooden letters with scrapbook paper.
Super easy but still super cute.
I made the three kissing balls the same way I made the wreath and I LOVE them!
HAPPY LOVE DAY EVERYONE!

She's 2 Months Old

My sweet little girl is 2 months old. (a couple weeks ago...I'm behind.)
She is still an angel baby and we love her so much!

She has grown so much and has become quite the little buddha baby.
Her stats at her 2 month appointment were:

12.2 lbs. - 75%tile
24 1/2 in. - above the 95%tile

She's definitely a big girl for her age.

Here's a great example of how big she is.
This is her cousin Jude.
He's 2 months older than her and she towers over him!!!

Cousins at Grandma Great's house.

She is a pretty content baby.
She's pretty chill and relaxed most of the time.
There are times where she cries and we just have to set her in her crib and let her cry.
She sleeps through the night....YAY!!!!!

She loves her bouncer SO much!!!!!
She also loves her swing.
She still loves being held.
If we're not holding her, she lets us know if she wants to be held.
She still loves to cuddle....we LOVE that about her.
She's eating 4oz. every 3 hours..sometimes at 2 1/2 hours.

She's smiling a ton and she LOVES when we talk to her.
Check out her chunky chin. We LOVE it.

She has been such a blessing in our lives.
We can't remember what life was like without her.
Nixon loves her so much and is a GREAT big brother!
I'm finally feeling really comfortable with having two kids.
It's extra busy but not much harder.
I think that it was easier going from 1 to 2 than from 0 to 1 kids.
Nic and I are definitely lucky to have these kiddos in our lives!!!

Baby Wise

This book has seriously given us our lives back.
I'm totally not the "follow a books advice" type, but it was recommended by one of Nic's co-workers so we thought we'd try it out.
There was nothing for us to lose.
I read it in the morning, started following what it said to do that day, and that night, Taytum slept through the night.
And she has slept through the night every night since.
We are complete believers in this book!!!
We would HIGHLY recommend it to everybody!
