Memphis, Tennessee

We have an announcement!!! We are moving to Memphis, TN for the summer. I know we said we would never do this again, but Nic is going to go sell alarms for APX again. (never say never right?!?!?) It's definitely a last minute thing. We met with the regional on Tuesday night, made our decision last night and Nic is driving out there Saturday morning. I'm flying out with Nixon next Sunday, May 10th. We are excited because neither of us have ever been to that part of the country before. So anyone who wants to come visit, you totally should! Wish us luck. We have a lot to do in the next couple of days!!! And we are going to miss everyone here in Utah this summer, but it's an exciting new adventure for us!

Sundy Evening

Everyone came over on Sunday night for dinner and to celebrate Julie's birthday. We had a great time just hanging out, eating great food, and talking. Here are some cute video's and pictures.
This video is of my cute little nephew Colby doing the Green Goblin. The Green Goblin is a character on a Spiderman video game. When the game is paused, the Green Goblin moves the way Colby is moving and throws stuff. We laugh every time Colby does it so I had to get it on camera.
This video is of the Noid. The Noid is a face that Josh and Nic make all the time and here are Madi and Colby doing their version of the Noid.

Here is Colby being silly wearing Nixon's bumbo chair on his head. He kept saying it was his helmet.

Nic holding Nixon while he naps and Emmi just hanging out with them.

This is how Nixon was asleep taking his nap on Nic. I thought it was pretty cute.

New Tricks

This little guy is getting quite the personality. He is finally so happy now!! (we are loving it...it's a nice change from all the crying) He is always doing something and is starting to talk all the time and make the cutest noises. He is a happy boy.

Here he is doing tummy time. As soon as we put him on his tummy, he automatically pushes up on his arms now. He's been doing this for a while now, but I finally got it on camera. From this position, he usually rolls over on to his back.
Here is his next trick. He has discovered his feet and loves them. Whenever he's on his back, whether it's on the floor, in his swing, or in his bouncy chair, he's always like this. He grabs them and holds onto them for a while and then usually rolls over and ends up on his side. I love this picture of him smiling while holding his feet. And check out that rash on his legs. The poor little guy had the worst rash ever. He screamed every time I changed his bum. I ended up using desitin and baby powder and I think it worked pretty good. If anyone knows of anything else that helps I would love to hear it!!
Just another cute pic of him holding onto his feet.
Nap time at Grandma's. This is the only place that he will take a nap during the day if we aren't holding him. He's not a big napper, but I can't complain cause he sleeps through the night. The only place that he will take a nap is either in our arms or in his swing. But when we are at my mom and dad's, we can put him in the pack and play and he will nap for a while. It's the weirdest thing and we don't know why he does it.

Just hangin out chillin with daddy.

3 months

I know I say this every time, but Nixon is 3 months old now and I can't believe how fast he is growing. The time just flies when you have a baby. He is getting to be so much fun and is so active all the time. Here are a few pictures.
Here is a super cute one of him smiling for Nic. (I couldn't get it to rotate)

Here he is in his favorite outfit. He loves to be naked. Check out that nice physique!!!

Things Nixon is doing at 3 months:

-smiles all the time
-cries less (woo hoo!!!!)
-still sleeps through the night
-naps more during the day
-rolls over from his tummy to his back
-rests up on his elbows on his tummy before he rolls over (i need to get a pic of that)
-eats 5 oz. every 2-3 hours
-when he eats, he inhales his bottle within 2-3 minutes...he acts like he hasn't eaten in days
-loves to sit up and face out to see what's going on
-makes a lot more noises
-recognizes his mom and dad when he's around other people
-he never stops moving...he's always kicking his legs, flailing his arms, playing with his hands, or something
-loves to hold his legs straight up in the air when laying on his back
Here he is in his super cute Easter outfit on Easter Sunday. We had a really nice day. We went to church and then went over to my mom and dad's and had a really yummy dinner and then watched Twilight. Nic and I have read all the books and hadn't seen the movie yet, so we were glad to finally be watching it. It was so nice to just hang out and spend time with the family.
And here I am with my little man. (this is his favorite way to be held) I love him so so so much. It's amazing how much you can love someone. I am so grateful to be able to be a mom. I have a few friends that are trying to become mom's and are having trouble, and I am just so thankful that I was blessed with this little guy. He brings so much joy and happiness into our lives. It's so fun to watch him grow and learn new things every day. It truly is a miracle!!! And I am also so grateful for such a wonderful husband. He is an absolutely amazing dad and he loves every second of it. I love watching him with Nixon! I am definitely a lucky girl!!

Update

Alright, I finally have an update. This is was we have been up to. Nic and I moved out of our townhome and in with Jeff and Julie (nic's mom and dad) Nic is wanting to go back to school this fall, so it's going to help us out a lot. Nixon is doing great. He's a big boy and super healthy. He is coming more to life. We are loving being his mom and dad. Just a little warning...There are a TON of pictures!!!

Here's cousin Josh with Nixon and Emmi. Grandma Huish passed away last month, so it was fun having all the family here from Arizona. Grandma Huish is greatly missed!! (we can't wait till Josh and Zulema move to Utah!)

Nixon sitting up in his boppy. This is a face he always makes!

Here we are on Nixon's blessing day. It's the only picture I got of him in his cute little outfit. Nic did an absolutey amazing job and the blessing he gave Nixon was beautiful. On a side note...during sacrament meeting, bishop got up and said that only one speaker showed up to speak. So he then proceeds to say "I would like to ask Ms. Trudi Warren to come up and bear her testimony." I wanted to die!!!! I am not good at speaking in front of people and being put on the spot is even worse. I had to go up and it was fine after it was over. We had a wonderful luncheon afterwards. Thank you so much to all of our friends and family that came.

Here's our super cute little niece Madi feeding Nixon after the blessing.
Bath time! He love it!!
After bath time all bundled up in his towel.

Smiling!

Smiling some more!

Just a cute picture of him.

So this is how he ALWAYS sleeps. He always has to have his arms up above his head. It's hilarious! And i'm proud to say that he sleeps in his crib ALL through the night!!!!!

Here's Nixon being entertained by Papa. I love this picture of him!!

This is how he was asleep on me the other day. He was like this for almost two hours. I love when he falls asleep on me and cuddles!!

He is always playing with his hands. He is definitely a busy little baby. He's always either kicking, moving his arms or always playing with his hands. He never just sits still.

This is a picture of him on his 2 month old birthday!
