Sunday Drive

We took a nice Sunday drive up to Midway today to look at the ice castles.

Nixon was totally chillin on our drive.

Sucker in hand, shoes and socks off, feet resting up on daddy's seat.

Can it get any better than that???

Here are a few of the castles.

The weather was gorgeous and it wasn't very cold which was nice.

He took all sorts of pictures while we were up there.

I love that he actually got both of us in this picture!

Shoveling Snow

I know I've said this many times before, but Nixon LOVES to be outside.

No matter what the temperature.

Even in the FREEZING cold.

He has his own little snow shovel and is seriously obsessed with shoveling snow.

He can be outside forever shoveling.

His hands and face get so red and he still says he's not cold because he doesn't want to come inside.

He loves it.

I love that he loves it.

It's so cute to watch him.

It's fun to watch him think that he's actually really helping with the snow.

He usually throws huge fits when we make him come inside.

Let's hope that when the time comes for him to actually shovel the snow when we need him to, he still wants to help!

Taytum is 1 Month Old

Taytum is 1 month old already.

She'll actually be 6 weeks old this week.

It's crazy how time flies.

It seems like it goes by even faster with 2 kids.

She is an angel baby.

All she does is sleep, eat, and lay around.

She only cries when she's hungry.

She grunts and makes a lot of cute noises before she starts crying.

She is the biggest cuddle bug ever!!!

Nic and I love it and take full advantage of it.

She's starting to be awake for longer periods of time.

She's more alert.

She'll follow an object with her eyes.

She loves her sleep just like her momma.

And she sleeps with her mouth open just like her momma.

We measured her a couple days ago and she was 23".

That means she's grown 3 inches since she was born!!!

We also weighed her.

She was 11 lbs.

That means she's gained about 4 lbs. since she was born!

She is growing fast!!!

She is SUCH a huge chunk.

She has big cheeks that we just wanna squeeze all the time.

She also has a huge double chin.

Gramma Juju (Juliane) and Makenzie came to Utah from the Philippines for a few days and we got to spend the day with them.

Taytum cuddled with her for a while.

It was so good to see them!!!

Taytum is such a blessing in our lives.

Nic and I keep saying that we deserve to have such a good, sweet little baby since we had to deal with Nixon as a baby. HAHA.

We love her so much and are so lucky to have her in our family.

My Crazy 2 Year Old

I seriously can't believe that I have a 2 year old.

He's so crazy but so much fun.

He's wild.

He's non-stop.

He's naughty.

He's very polite.

He's a great big brother.

He's extremely tough.

He loves his family so much!

Nixon brings so much joy and happiness into our lives.

Don't get me wrong, he's a handful and makes us very frustrated at times also, but he is SO much fun right now.

This age is a great age!!

Lani was babysitting him a little while ago and she looks over and sees this.

He got a hold of her pump and she couldn't help but take a picture.

I'm so glad she got this pic!

He so observant!! HAHAHA.

He loves 4 wheeler rides with daddy.

He loves to be outside no matter what the temperature is.

He's a pretty tough little boy.

He falls all the time.

He runs into things all the time.

But hardly every cries when anything happens to him!!!

He's finally getting to where he can play and entertain himself.

He has tons of toys and loves to play and makes messes.

He also loves his books and loves to read.

He can count to 10 on his own.

He's a lefty.

Nixon takes after his momma and loves to talk.

He can talk in full sentences.

He repeats mostly everything everyone says...good or bad.

He is also getting to the stage where he has to pick out his own clothes.

There are times where I have to just let him do it and I have to not worry about it.

He comes up with some interesting outfits.

He loves to play with his cousins.

Him and Colby are best buddies.

They fight and argue like brothers, but they also play hard and have lots of fun together.

He is a great big brother.

He loves Taytum so much.

He gives her random kisses.

He loves to hold her.

He tries to give her a binky all the time.

He can also be very naughty.

He knows when he's not supposed to have something, so he'll grab it when we're not looking, run off with it, pretend like he's going to give it back to us, and then run off as we chase after him for it.

He's starting to talk back already.

He tells us NO.

He isn't the greatest at picking up his toys yet. (we're working on that)

He's obsessed with his binky still.

He's obsessed with his blue and brown blanky and has to have it all the time.

He whines when he wants something.

He throws huge fits when he doesn't get what he wants.

I don't know what we would do if we didn't have Nixon in our lives.

We are so lucky that he gets to call us Mom and Dad.

He has such a fun spirit about him.

He makes a lot of people VERY happy.

We can't wait to see what he's going to be like as he gets older.
