Half Way Done!!!

I am officially half way done with this pregnancy!!!
YAY!!!
It hasn't been too bad.
I was a little bit sick at the beginning but it was nothing compared to how sick I was with Nixon so I really can't complain.
Here is a picture of me and my belly at 21 weeks.
(Nic and I just got done playing tennis so that's why I look so good. haha)
We also had our ultrasound to find out what we're having.
We went in and they took all of the baby's measurements and then at the end of the ultrasound told us that the baby wasn't cooperating and they couldn't tell what it was.
So of course, we were disappointed.
We went back two weeks later and found out that....
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
We are SO excited to have a little girl in our family.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. My parents were here in Boston for the 4th so it was fun to spend time with them for the holiday. They bought tickets for us to go to the Red Sox game and we were so excited for it. What's better than being at a baseball game on the 4th of July??? Especially at Fenway Park?!?! My mom stayed home with Nixon and my dad, Nic and I went to the game.

Here are my little man and I before we left for the game. Nic bought him this Boston hat and he loves to wear it!

Nic and I at the game. It was SO hot!!!!!
The famous Green Monstah (that's how they say it here in Boston)

Dad and I after the game.

Daddio.
I seriously love this statue. I want a replica of it for Nixon!!!
When we got back to the apartment after the game, my mom had deep cleaned the whole thing and did all of our laundry. Thank you SO SO SO much for doing all of that for us mom. Love ya tons!!!

That night my mom and dad headed back to their hotel room to pack up their stuff and we did fireworks with some of the families that are out here with us.
Nixon loves riding on these little scooters. He doesn't care that it's pink and has streamers. HAHA. I seriously will be shocked if he makes it to the age of 3 without any broken bones or stitches.
Our cute little family.
Char, me and Jess. I love being out here with these cute girls.
Nixon loved the sparklers. He kept wanting to grab the fire part because that's the fun part.
I hope everyone had a happy 4th!!!

Visitors

My mom and dad came into town for 10 days and we had a lot of fun with them. We were pretty much non-stop the whole time they were here. We were able to see a lot of the sites Boston has to offer and we had a lot of time to visit. Nixon loved seeing him Papa and Grandma and they loved seeing him just as much.

We went to the Boston aquarium the first Sunday my parents were here and we loved it. I love this picture of Nic and Nixon. This is outside of the Aquarium and they were looking at the seals swimming by. Nixon LOVED the aquarium!
Nixon loves the movie Happy Feet, so he was loving the huge penguin exhibit they had.

HAHAHA. He loves putting sunglasses on and he think he is SO cool with these.
Daddy and Nixon standing by one of the many street performers in Boston.
The boys.
Nixon wasn't so sure about this this guy.

After we went to the aquarium, we went on a duck boat tour and this pink boat was the boat we were on. It's a tour of downtown Boston and it's pretty cool because it goes on land and on water.
The famous Boston bridge. (I can't remember the exact name of it.)
I'm pretty sure this statue is of Ben Franklin.

Grandma with Nixon on the U.S.S. Constitution.
A pretty view of the city.
We took a water taxi from the Navy base to the city center and Nixon loved being on the boat.
Bunker Hill Monument
He was all tuckered out after a long day of sightseeing.

We had a lot of fun having my parents here. It was so fun to see Nixon get so excited when he first saw them at the airport. They were excited he remembered them. We can't wait to get home in just 5 1/2 weeks!!! YAY!!!!!

Fenway Park

On Father's Day (I know I'm WAY behind in blogging) we went to our first Red Sox game at Fenway Park. We were both seriously SO excited but Nic by far was WAY more excited than I was. If anyone was at our wedding and remembers our He Says, She Says book there's a question in it that asks where we want to travel with each other. I wrote Tahiti, Australia, Europe, etc. Nic wrote Fenway Park!!! HAHA. It's the only place he wanted to go with me. Well, mission accomplished!

Here he is with our food before the game. They seriously have the best hot dogs there. They are called Fenway Franks and they are to die for!
Don't mind my super shiny face. It was SO freakin hot and muggy that day.

Big Popi up at bat.
The field. It is such a small park but SO much fun. The fans have so many little traditions that they all do. It was SO much fun!
Yay for the Red Sox beating the Dodgers. It was a big deal that they were playing the Dodgers because Manny Ramirez got traded from the Sox to the Dodgers and he was back in his old stomping grounds.
After the game was over we wanted to get closer to the field. We walked down to the edge of the field and Nic asked the security guard if he could just touch the dirt. HAHA. He was SO excited to be able to touch the dirt at Fenway Park. The security then got an empty cup and put some of the dirt in it and gave it to Nic. Nic was SO SO SO excited about it. He told the security guard he had waited 27 years to be at Fenway. He was seriously like a little kid on Christmas Day.

Dustin Pedroia is AMAZING!!! I had to get this shirt!!

p.s. We have had A LOT going on so look for more posts to come. Nixon's taking a nap so that means it's nap time for me too!
