We're in trouble!!!

I think we are in trouble!!! Nixon is now walking!!!! Crazy!!! I can't believe it. Everyone keeps telling me that our lives will never be the same, but I am so excited. It's so cute to watch him walk all over the place. He is now into every cupboard and anything that he sees but he is so much fun!!!! I love that he is such an active little guy and so healthy. Nic and I are so lucky to be his parents!

Carving Pumpkins!

Nic and I carved pumpkins the other night and had lots of fun doing it. We each did one and Nic did an extra one for Nixon. This is definitely a tradition that we are going to start doing every year!!

Sick Bug

This little guy has invaded our house. The only people not sick are Nixon (thankfully) and Jeff. Yes it's miserable. But luckily my mom came and picked Nixon up yesterday and is keeping him til Sunday. Thank you SO much!! Hopefully this little sick bug will decide to leave us soon!

Do you Fondue???

We had a lot of fun this past weekend. We hung out with good friends and had good food and played some fun games! Friday night we went over to our friends Lauren and Adam's house and had a fondue party. Nic and I had never done fondue at home so we were way excited. (I totally took these pics from Andrea's blog...thanks Andrea!)

I love this picture of us. I am wearing my glasses lately because I'm out of contacts and need to make a new appointment. I know that's random, but that's why I have my glasses on.

For our appetizers the Weekley's made some really yummy cheese fondue. We had bread, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower to dip into the spinach cheese dip. So yummy!!!

Jeff & Char were there and also Kristi & Justin and Andrea & Austin. Us girls are hanging out and of course Jeff is being goofy as always.

The main part of the meal so delicious. We had tons and tons of steak & chicken and also shrimp and some yummy veggies. We cooked it all in a really yummy chicken broth. It was seriously so good!!!

So during dinner, Lauren and Adam were talking about how they have air soft gun wars and of course the guys were like where's the gun? They then decide to play a game called who can take the most pain...typical guy thing. Why they wanted to play that, I will never know! They first started with shirts on and then shirts off. Adam hit Nic right in the belly button and it broke the skin and he still has a scab from it. And he had 2 big welts on his back. They are crazy!! I have to admit that it was hilarious to watch!! Us girls all got a really good laugh.

And this would be desert. We made a chocolate caramel dip and this is what we had to dip into the chocolate. Yes it was so so so good!

And here are all of us after eating dinner. We had so much fun with everyone. After dinner we played Catch Phrase and of course it got super competitive playing girls against boys. We had tons of laughs at goofy stuff we all said. Thanks everyone for a super fun night! We can't wait for more to come!

Future Bronco

Anyone that knows Nic, knows that he is a HUGE Bronco's fan. So of course, we had to get Nixon all decked out. He has a couple of jersey's but Nic swears that his Champ Bailey jersey is his lucky charm (Champ Bailey is Nic's favorite player) And the lucky charm must be working because they are 5-0!!!!!

Playing Catch Up

I am totally playing catch up in this post. I am way behind and have tons to write about and there are TONS of pictures.
Nixon is now 9 months old. I can't believe it!! He's so happy and is NON-STOP all the time!!! He is a very active little boy and we love it. He eats a ton and likes everything he eats. He is SO much fun to be around.

Things Nixon is doing at 9 months:
-climbs on anything he can
-takes a step then goes back to crawling (I think it scares him)
-crawls super fast
-walks holding onto anything that will support him
-walks on his knees
-still only has his 2 bottom teeth
-eats everything
-feeds himself his little snacks
-talks a ton
-loves to be outside
-sits in a big boy car seat
-gets in to EVERYTHING
-loves to knock down his building blocks
-loves playing with cooking utensils


Lani turned 20 September 26th. I can't believe that my little sister is 20. CRAZY!!! We had a nice family dinner and then we went to the BYU football game.
Here are grandma and grandpa feeding Nixon his favorite thing ever...Otter Pops. He LOVES them and of course they love to spoil him with them.

We went to Phoenix the first week of October for a baseball tournament that Nic played in. We had tons of fun!! We drove down and this pic is on Nixon passed out in his big boy car seat. He has to have his snuggie blankets whenever he's tired. He'll get the blankets and rub them over his face. It's the cutest thing ever. And they put him to sleep SO fast!

The tournament was a 4 day tournament in Phoenix. It was SO hot but we had fun. Nic LOVED playing again, especially because all his buddies were down there playing with him. And I loved watching him play and hanging out with all the wives.

After one of the games one night we went to this really cool Mexican restaurant. The food sucked but the atmosphere was so fun. It was outdoors and they had a waterfall and lights all over the place with live music. We were dancing and having a really fun time. Char loved dancing with Nixon.

We went to the Cheesecake Factory after another one of the games and one of the guys gave Nixon some whip cream and of course he loved it. And he ALWAYS has his mouth open in pictures.

Here at home, Nixon loves getting in to all the cupboards and drawers. He especially loves this Tupperware cupboard. He' always opening it and taking everything out of the drawers.

I was doing laundry the other day and Nixon was being my little helper. He is becoming quite the climber. He will climb onto anything that he can, and even if he can't climb on it, he tries too. He's such a little monkey.
