Little Update

Here's a little update on what's been going on with us. I'm not going to have any pictures because I left my camera at my in-laws on Christmas and it's still there. As soon as I get it back I will post the pics.

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house and had a delicious turkey dinner. It was fun to hang out for the night, eat good food and just visit with each other. Christmas day was spent and Nic's mom and dads house. We had a really yummy, huge breakfast and spent the day playing games and eating, and eating, and eating. It was lots of fun and very relaxing. I love this time of year because it brings everyone together.

Baby update....I went in to my doc today and had my 38 week check up. I'm not dilated or effaced at all. We were a little bummed to hear that because we are so anxious to see this little guy, but we know he will be here before we know it. My actual due date is Jan. 13th but Dr. Judd says that by what he can see and with his experience, he thinks the little guy will be here around the 17th or 18th. So we will see what happens.

I'm still working at the spa doing massage. My last day is next Saturday and I am SO looking forward to that day. Nic got a new job with an energy drink company call Evo energy and he is the Utah County sales rep. for them. He's loving it so far so hopefully it turns out to be a great thing. We are both doing really good and really can't complain about anything. Life is good!!!

Nixon's Room

I'm finally posting these pictures of Nixon's room. Nic and I had fun doing it together. We of course had to do a sports theme. I made these letters of his name and Nic did the dresser. He built it out of oak in wood shop in high school, and we don't use it, so we thought we could just paint it and put new handles and put it to use. I LOVE how it turned out! He did a great job!!
Here's his crib. I love love love it!! (I still have a couple more things to put up on the shelf.)

And this would be his closet. He's already a spoiled boy! And our stash of diapers and wipes. I know we are going to be going through these fast!
And here's the recliner that I know i'm going to be spending many nights in. We decided to get a recliner rather than a glider because they are cheaper and more comfortable. I love it all!!! I can't wait to be able to really put this room to use.

36 weeks & Christmas Lights

Here I am at 36 weeks!!! Holy crap I can't believe that I only have 4 weeks to go. 4 weeks!!! He seriously could be here anytime now. I'm still feeling really good. I get uncomfortable at night when I'm trying to sleep, but other than that, I have nothing to complain about. He is still moving around like crazy. If this is a sign of things to come, then we are definitely going to have an active little boy and have our hands full. We are so excited and so anxious for him to get here. I can't wait to see what he looks like and just can't wait to hold him. We are definitely blessed to have had such an easy and smooth pregnancy. Hopefully the labor will be the same. I'm not going to lie, but I am really nervous and scared for labor. I know it will all be OK, but I'm just such a wuss and have no pain tolerance. So I'm all about getting drugged up. HAHA!
This past Friday night we went out with our good friends Jeff and CharLee. We went to dinner and then were planning on going to temple square to look at the lights but decided it was too cold. So we figured something else out. After dinner the guys wanted to stop at Best Buy really quick. Well really quick turned into about and hour and a half. CharLee and I ended up playing Guitar Hero forever and the guys were playing some basketball game while we were there. Yes, I know it's a little geeky, but we had tons of fun. After Best Buy, we just drove around and looked at lights. We found this house in Lindon that had a light show that went along to music. It was the coolest thing ever! We turned our radio to a certain station, and the lights went along with the music on the radio. It was very impressive!

The light show was on the side of the persons house. This is the front of the same house. It seriously looks like a castle. I loved the lights and the whole manger set up and everything. It's amazing how far people go for the holidays. It's definitely the best time of year. I love all the time spent with friends and family and all the yummy food. It's such a blessing to be able to live so close to all of our family and to have so many good friends. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season!!! (and thanks Jeff and Char for such a fun, random night!)
I tried to upload a video I took of the light show, but it didn't work. Sorry!
