Nic's Birthday Weekend

Since Nic had to work all day, we started his day off with going out to breakfast. We went to a little place in Camarillo called The Breakfast Cafe. It's a tiny little ma and pa place, but they have the best breakfast.

At Nic's meeting, I surprised him with cake and ice cream for the whole office. He had no idea and was way happy. This picture is of him standing in front of everyone while we are all singing happy birthday to him. It's the only picture I took while at the meeting. Everyone loved the cake and ice cream, especially Nic.

For his birthday, I got him tickets for the Angels & Braves game on Sunday the 15th. He was so excited. The last time he was at a major league game he was 12 so he was really happy. I have never been to a major league game so I was really excited too.

This picture was taken from our seats. I didn't know that I did such a good job at getting the seats I did. Our seats were in the 12th row behind the visitors dugout. Nic was so excited and couldn't get over how good the seats were.

Nic and I got all decked out for the game. It was so much fun! I am so glad that he had such a good time. Love ya tons babe!!!!

Happy Fathers Day daddy-to-be!!! I am so excited for you to be a dad. I know that you are going to be absolutely amazing at it. I can't wait to see you with our baby and babies to come. I am so lucky to have you and love you tons!!!

Happy Fathers Day Jeff!! Nic is so lucky to have you as a dad, and I am so lucky to have you as my father-in-law. Thank you for all that you have done for us and for always being there for us. You are an amazing person and we can't wait for you to be a grandpa to our little one. We love you!!!!

Happy Birthday Babe!!!! I hope you have a great day. You are an absolutely amazing person. I am so lucky to have you as my husband. I appreciate all the things that you do for me and for all the sacrifices you make. I am so thankful for the hardworker that you are. Since it's Nic's 25th birthday, here are 25 things about him:

1. He is an absolute sports Fanatic!!!

2. His favorite football team is the Denver Broncos.

3. His favorite baseball team is the Boston Red Sox.

4. He could watch sports center or anything on ESPN all day everyday and would be perfectly content.

5. Besides ice skating, he could watch any sport that's on tv no matter what.

6. In high school he played football and baseball.

7. He played baseball at Snow College.

8. He was in a bowling league with Jeff and Mitch back at home and they were in 1st place and they had only been bowling for a couple of months...(i'm sure the old men in the league weren't very happy with them...but everyone loved them)

9. He has a way with people that for some reason, everyone loves him. (on the other hand, he tells you how it is sometimes even if you don't want to hear it)

10. He could eat Chinese food everyday.

11. He went to Vera Cruz, Mexico on his mission.

12. He is deathly afraid of sharks.

13. He enjoys going out to dinner and trying new restaurants.


14. His favorite restaurant is Happy Sumo....He LOVES sushi. It had to grow on him, but he now loves it!


15. He is a very hard worker and has a lot of drive to be successful.


16. He absolutely LOVES to golf.


17. He grew up hunting and still has a huge passion for it.

18. He loves amusement parks and roller coasters.


19. He is a junk food junkie. Potato chips and fruity candy are his favorite.


20. He LOVES and ADORES our dog Emmi.


21. He has traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, Tahiti, Washington D.C., and pretty much all the Western United States.


22. His dream is to get to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play.


23. He's never broken a bone.


24. He is such an athlete and he's usually good and anything he does the first time he does it. For example, he stood up and caught a wave the first time he tried surfing! NOT FAIR!!!! He is VERY competitive!


25. He loves watching shows on the Discovery Channel, the National Geographic Channel, and Animal Planet like Planet Earth, Man vs. Wild, Shark Week, Explorer and Deadliest Catch. (shark week is why he's deathly afraid of sharks)

Big News!!!!!

WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!! We can no longer keep it a secret. Nic and I are SO excited for our new little addition. I know that everyone has questions, so here are some answers!

How far along are you? 9 weeks

When are you due? January 13

Are you sick? YES! I have been pretty sick to my stomach. Sometimes throwing up and nauseous a lot. It's not everyday or all the time, but it's pretty often. Sometimes random, and sometimes is comes on all of a sudden. It's not very fun. Smells have also been driving me CRAZY! It's amazing how sensitive my sense of smell is. I'm always asking Nic if he smells that and he just looks at me like i'm crazy. Haha. But I kind of am crazy right now. LOL. I'm am glad that I'm not working right now because it gives me the chance to relax and lay around the house. And I know that if I were working at the spa right now, all the smells of people getting their hair done, the different aromas, and the smell of people getting their nails done would be driving me crazy!

Does your family know? Yes they do. We called both of our parents the day after we took the pregnancy test. We then told them they can tell whoever they want after I had my first DR. appointment.

Do you have names picked out? We have names that we like, but nothing for sure yet. It's still really early to tell.

Are you going to find out what you're having? YES! I couldn't not find out. We are already anxious to find out what it is. I can't wait to start buying clothes and start doing a nursery.

Boy or Girl? For this first one, we honestly don't care. As long as we have a healthy baby, it doesn't matter.

Are you scared? I'm not scared, but definitely a little nervous. I have thoughts about what kind of mom I'm going to be and hopefully I can live up to my mom. I have big shoes to fill. I'm SO excited for Nic to be a Daddy. It makes us nervous, but we are so excited at the same time!

Any other thoughts? Like I have said earlier, Nic and I couldn't be more excited. We can't wait to be called Mommy and Daddy. It's amazing, this early in the pregnancy, to experience all these changes in my body. I'm really enjoying it all and trying to take it all in. (minus the throwing up) Nic is going to be an absolutely amazing dad. We are very excited!!!!! If anyone has any suggestions on anything, any websites they'd recommend, and books they'd recommend or anything, I would love it all. It's my first time, so anything will help. Love you all!!
