Mr. Nixon

Nixon has got to be one of the busiest 2 1/2 year olds I know.
He has got the biggest personality ever, and it keeps getting bigger and bigger by the day.
He's SO full of life.
He keeps us on our toes every minute of the day.
He is SO fun to be around.

We have had quite a busy summer this year.
We have loved being home all summer and we have been taking full advantage of it.
We have gotten snow cones a ton and Nixon's favorite flavor is Tigers Blood.

We are constantly on the "GO" with this little guy.
There's no sitting still and no sitting around with him.
I've said this a million times on this blog, but if we let him, he could be outside everyday all day.

He's at the stage in life where he loves to pick out his own clothes.
Sometimes we have to say absolutely not with some of the things he picks out.
Other times we don't care and we let him out of the house with what he chooses.
This was one of those days.
He had to dig through his stored away clothes because he had to wear his snow boots for some odd reason.
(I brought a pair of flip flops with me because I knew he'd get hot even though he insisted he wouldn't)
I love that he doesn't have a care in the world.
He doesn't care what other people think.

He's beginning to become the sneaky little boy that I knew would surface sooner or later.
I've caught him in the sugar, in the chocolate milk mix, sneaking otter pops and candy.
I know he's up to something when I don't hear him and when it's quiet.
If I yell for him and ask what he's doing, his response is usually "nothin."
He's starting to pick up on things we say and I love to hear how he uses them when he's having a conversation.
He says "never mind" all the time.
I asked him to build me a castle with is blocks while I was in the shower one time.
In the middle of my shower, he runs in the bathroom, opens the shower curtain and says, "Mom, the castle is making me crazy."  HAHA.
He was obviously frustrated about it.

This little kid is absolutely obsessed with baseball.
His toy of choice is a ball, a bat, and his baseball mitt.
We went to the home run derby on my birthday and he was in heaven.
He always tells us that he's going to be a baseball player and a pitcher.

He's still not a huge fan of the camera.
We usually have to bribe him somehow to take a good picture.
He's quite the little ham though.
He's always entertaining us.
He's always making us laugh.
And he also makes us frustrated a lot of the time.
He has quite the little stubborn attitude.
He tends to be quite the little brat when he's tired.
He knows how to do everything on his own, and that is frustrating a lot of the time.
He's a VERY independent little guy.

He has loved the water this summer.
We have gone to the splash pad in Spanish Fork a ton and he loves it.
He also loves the Payson Pool.
He has no fear.
He's a wild little man and it makes me nervous all the time.

He jumps off of everything.
He climbs on everything.
He loves going on 4 wheeler rides with daddy.
He absolutely adores his little sister and is very protective over her.
He plays pretty well with other little kids.
He loves playing with the neighborhood kids.
He's pretty good about sharing with other kids.
He's the most polite little boy ever.

Getting him to sit down and eat is impossible.
He usually eats on the run.
He's always too busy to sit down for any amount of time.
Right now his favorite movie is "The Sandlot."
He loves animals.
He loves being up in the mountains.

He loves his cowboy boots and his cowboy hat that Papa Huish bought him.
He loves is Papa's and his Grandma's.
He loves to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "Horsey Horsey," and the "ABC Song."
He also always sings "Cleanup Cleanup" every time he cleans up his toys.
He loves the "Going On A Bear Hunt" story and can tell the entire thing by himself.
He can also tell the "3 Little Bears" story by himself.
His little imagination is starting to come to life and I love listening to him play with his toys when he doesn't know I'm listening.
He can count to 20 on his own.
He knows all the colors.

I seriously can't express how much we love this little guy.
We are the LUCKIEST parents in the world to have him in our family.

We have got to live closer. Nixon and Kai would be best buddies. They could play baseball and be outside ALL the time! He is such a cutie.
