Taytum Ellie Warren

Taytum finally decided to join our family on Dec. 1st!!
We are so happy she's finally here.
The top picture is of me just hanging out waiting for the time to pass. I'm hooked up to Pitocin and I have my epidural so I'm good to go!!!

On Monday, Nov. 29th I went in for my weekly checkup and I was still dilated to a 2 and not effaced at all. That's how I left my appointment the previous week. So I was a little disappointed to hear that but I have an amazing Dr. and he knew that I was ready to have this baby! Dr. Weibell decided that he would induce me that Wednesday, December 1st because he was going to be out of town for the rest of the week and he wanted to make sure that he delivered me.

So on Wednesday, Dec. 1st, Nic and I headed to the hospital at 6:30 in the morning. I didn't sleep much the night before because I obviously had a lot on my mind and was pretty anxious about being induced. Once we got to the hospital I got all checked in and they took us to our room. By about 7:30-8 I was hooked up to everything, got my epidural, had my water broken, and the waiting process began. I was still a 2 when I got to the hospital. Dr. Weibell thought that I should be able to deliver hopefully by lunch time. Thankfully, I couldn't feel a thing. I could tell from the computer screen that I was having pretty intense contractions and they were coming on really quick. Thank goodness for epidurals!!!!! Just before 10:00 a.m. I could feel a lot of pressure down there and my nurse came in and randomly decided to check me. Her exact words were, "O.M.G. you're complete." She then ran out of the room to see if Dr. Weibell had left the hospital yet. As soon as she ran out, about 3 other nurses came in and they were hurrying to get everything ready and set up. Nic and I were wondering what was going on. I asked one of the nurses what was going on and she said that we were going to have the baby!!! I couldn't believe it. It all happened so fast! My regular nurse came back and said that Dr. Weibell would be right there. Luckily he had just barely left the hospital when she called him so he just had to turn around and he was there. He came in and I was ready to push. I started pushing at 10:10 a.m., pushed through three contractions and she was born at 10:14 a.m.!!!!! It seriously happened so fast!!!!! We were so happy to have an amazing doctor and wonderful nurses there to help us. She was perfect and we were so happy to have her as an addition to our family.

7lbs. 7oz.
20 in. long

Here I am right after she was born.
We decided on her middle name while we were waiting to have her.
We combined Elaine and Julie (our mom's names) and came up with Ellie.
Here we our with Dr. Weibell. He's seriously the best O.B. ever!
Nic went with her when she got her first bath. She didn't like it so much!
We had the decision to stay two days in the hospital or go home the next day.
Since I was feeling so good and she was so healthy, we decided to go home the next day.
Being home is SO much better than being in the hospital!!!!
My little angel baby passed out on my chest.
She loves to cuddle and I LOVE it and take full advantage of it.
So stinkin cute!!!
This is typical these days.
I tend to fall asleep very quickly and randomly.
I have to say though that she is an angel baby.
I have to wake her up to feed her and she goes back to sleep pretty quickly after she eats.
And she is the queen of sleep.
I've wondered once in a while if everything is OK with her because she's so opposite of the way Nixon was.
Like I've said before, we are so happy to have her in our family and we are so blessed that we get to be her parents!
